ICPS opens new office in Mauritius to support its growing team
ICPS, a subsidiary of HPS Group, announces it has opened a new office in Port Louis, Mauritius, to meet the needs of its growing team and expanding client base across Africa, Asia Pacific, and the United States.
Recently, the company hosted a cocktail to celebrate this important milestone – among the invitees were the Hon. Deepak Balgobin, Minister of Information Technology, Communication and Innovation, ICPS founder and ex-Managing Director Angelo Letimier, HPS CEO Abdeslam Alaoui who came all the way from Morocco, clients, partners, collaborators and members of the press.
ICPS is the result of the vision of Angelo Letimier, a Mauritian entrepreneur who played a pivotal role in the creation of a joint venture between MCB Group and HPS Group. Established in 2008, ICPS addresses its clients diverse requirements in areas such as Card issuance and acquisition, Card personalisation, implementation and upkeep of PCI DSS, and provision of Training and Consultancy services based on the Best Practices for Card payment Schemes.
Following its complete acquisition by HPS Group in 2021, the company concentrated on enhancing its array of offerings to match the changing demands of clients. This encompassed the development of a fresh back-office solution, along with a mobile self-care facility designed to optimise HPS' open framework and related APIs. Consequently, we are now capable of serving all clients, irrespective of their jurisdiction pertaining to data sovereignty.
To drive greater financial inclusion, we have sharpened our focus on an open framework, integrating a fully tokenized solution with state-of-the-art security features. This transformation involves utilising the HPS Tokenization solution and collaborating with international network tokenized services including VTS and MDES, powered by Visa and Mastercard.
As part of our commitment to innovation, PowerCARD, the backbone of ICPS, is "cloud native", enabling greater flexibility and scalability across its suite of solutions. This innovation has been driven by ICPS’ growing team of experts. Over the past five years, the team has increased by nearly 50% - from 86 employees in 2018 to a team of 126 in 2023.
